FUMC Allen’s Caring & Support Ministries presents “Beyond The Broken Heart,” an eight-week support and ministry program for anyone grieving the loss of a loved one. This workshop, under the guidance of Certified Counselor Lynn Seal-Cupp, allows participants to share and explore their grief experiences and learn healthy coping strategies.
Lynn Seal-Cupp, a member of First United Methodist Church of Allen, has spent her professional life in education and counseling. She has served as a teacher, counselor, principal, director of special education, staff development trainer, curriculum specialist, educational diagnostician, and college lecturer. Lynn received her bachelor of science in elementary education and counseling from East Texas State University as well as her master’s degree in counseling. She has numerous certifications in counseling and education. She is also a Stephen Minister and Stephen Ministry leader.
Being a part of Christian care giving is a blessing for her. She is married to Gary Cupp, and they share four children and six grandchildren.
This grief recovery runs eight consecutive Monday evenings beginning October 6 through November 24 in the FUMC Allen parlor. Register online www.fumcallen.org or on Sunday mornings, September 21 & 28.
