Vision 2020: Coming into Focus

Vision 2020: Coming into Focus

Town Hall Meeting
January 8, 2017 12:15pm

On  September 11, FUMC Allen approved hiring a capital campaign consultant to complete a study to determine if a capital campaign would be possible in our church and what the potential for capital would be in our congregation. The church also approved hiring an architect to consider affordable possibilities for modernizing our facility and addressing several key building priorities.

The Possibility and Potential report is complete and Don Smith of Horizons Stewardship is ready to share the results of his research.  GFF Architects has preliminary drawings of a new master plan which the Building Committee is ready to share.

From Don Smith of Horizons, “Is First United Methodist Church ready for a spring capital campaign? This study will provide insights, conclusions and recommendations regarding the extent of the congregation’s readiness. Furthermore, it is a joy and privilege to be on this journey of ministry with the people of First UMC during this critical time of mission and ministry.”

Hear from the church leadership during a Town Hall meeting on January 8 at 12:15pm in the gym. We’ll serve a light lunch. During the Town Hall, Children’s Ministry is hosting a Three Kings Party for children in grades K-6 in Base Camp. The nursery will be open for our infants and preschoolers.

Join us as our Vision 2020 plans are coming into focus.  Make plans for Charge Conference on January 22 to cast the vote for our plans for the future.
