Playday Receives Special Olympics Award

Allen Special Olympics honored Playday Preschool with the Champions of Change Award at their 20th Annual Special Angels Among Us Dinner & Auction on February 17. The Champion of Change Award honors a local business who has shown the “Champion of Change” spirit by looking beyond the “dis-ability” to see someone with value and purpose. Embrace & Transform Building Project Update

Progress.  Progress.  Progress.  While it may not be apparent, we’ve accomplished a lot of work on our building project.  After the architects completed schematic design, the general contractor estimated costs for us.  Through November and December, the Building Committee spent many hours scrutinizing the costs and making trade-offs to ensure every precious dollar is used effectively. We will tear down the old building that houses Youth Ministry and some offices.  That’s approximately 9,000 square feet being removed.  Then, we will…

  College scholarship applications and recommendation forms for the FUMC Allen Endowment, Program, and Memorial scholarships are now available. First United Methodist Church of Allen offers several opportunities to earn financial help for full-time college and post-graduate students who have been accepted into and attending an accredited institution of higher learning.
