Worship Series: Life Signs

Worship Series: Life Signs

He is risen! He is risen indeed!

We worship a risen savior and the good news of our faith is that Easter is not limited to one Sunday a year. Some say that every Sunday is a mini-Easter because we gather to celebrate our resurrection faith. The Church calendar tells us that Easter is the season that lasts for 50 days, beginning on Easter Sunday and concluding on the day of Ascension when Jesus ascended to be with God.

No matter how you may interpret Easter, it’s not over. We live in the light of resurrection, not in the darkness of Christ’s death on the cross. With faith in the resurrection, we can celebrate that we are a new creation. Because of this, we can rest assured that there are life signs all around us.

Because Christ resurrected from the dead, there are signs of life and signs of new life because we see through a whole new set of lenses. This gives us hope even in times of doubt. Signs of life tell us that God is at work in and through the Church. We can rest assured that in Christ we are a new creation and that the old has passed away and the new has come.

What does this good news mean for us today? Join us for worship on Sunday and every Sunday until May 20, and we will look for Life Signs during morning worship. Our focus will be on how God is at work doing a new thing and bringing new life in the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

If you know of anyone who is tired of bad news and fake news, invite them to church so that they can hear some good news and catch a glimpse of Life Signs!
