Exchanging gifts comes with the season. Sure, sometimes gift exchanges are a hassle, but in the end, we occasionally receive that for which we’d hoped.
What if we could do the same the heaviness that comes with Advent?
What if we could exchange our despair, chaos, fear, bitterness, and darkness for the very best God offers through hope, peace, joy, love, and light?
It can be ours if we but look to the source of all good gifts.
Some will tell you we’ve taken Christ out of Christmas by replacing “Christ” with the letter “X.” But actually, “Xmas” is not a non-religious version of “Christmas.” The “X” represents the Greek letter “Chi,” which in Greek represents “Christ.” So “Xmas” and “Christmas” are equivalent in every way, except their lettering.
