Missions Focus: Project Transformation

Our March 2020 communion offering will benefit our mission partner Project Transformation (PT).
Born right here in North Texas in 1998, Project Transformation is now a national organization. Their mission is to transform communities by engaging children, college-age young adults, and churches in purposeful relationships.
Project Transformation believes that transformation, whether as an individual or a community, happens through mutual relationships. Their program intentionally connects children, college-age young adults, and churches.
The program engages children to strengthen their literacy, social-emotional, and spiritual skills. At the same time, young adults offer purposeful leadership and ministry as they lead children’s programming, live in an intentional Christian community, and focus on vocational discernment. And, PT is a tool to connect churches with their communities.
Our church has partnered with PT for more than 10 years; we look forward to how we might underwrite their work again this year.
Here are some possible ways your generous contributions this month might help:
  • $1,750.00 sponsors a capable, motivated college students who will serve this summer as a PT intern
  • $1,000.00 provides a dinner during the summer for 125 PT interns serving in the Dallas area program
  • $250.00 covers the average cost of one week of supplies for 100 children
As always, 100 percent of the money put in our communion offering baskets on Sunday, March 1, will go to our identified mission.
We are grateful for the work Project Transformation does and are glad to continue supporting their good work with our neighbors.
