8:40am The Table
11:00AM Traditional Worship
Sanctuary & LiveStream

Palm Sunday, also called Passion Sunday, is the first day of Holy Week and the Sunday before Easter. On Palm Sunday, we commemorate Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem by waving palm branches at the beginning of the worship service. Also part of the service is remembering the Passion, the suffering experienced by Jesus Christ on his way to the cross.

This service will be both in-person and live streamed at The Table at 8:40am and Traditional Worship at 11:00am.

The children will lead the Palm Sunday processional at the 11:00am traditional service. If your child attends our 9:45am Sunday School, the teachers will keep them in the Children’s Large Group area and prepare them for the 11:00am processional.

If your children do not attend Sunday school, please drop them off in the Children’s Large Group Area between 10:45am and 11:00am on April 10. After the processional, the children will go sit with their families. Our preschool children will return to the nursery.

Thursday April 14
Sanctuary & Livestream

Join us for Maundy Thursday worship in the FUMC Allen sanctuary. During this service, we’ll observe the sacrament of Holy Communion and remember Jesus’ commandment to “love one another.”

I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another.

John 13:34 NRSV

This service will be live streamed on our YouTube and Facebook platforms.

Child care will not be available for this service.

Good Friday
Friday April 15
Sanctuary & Livestream

Join us for Good Friday worship in the sanctuary and on our livestream platforms.

Our Tenebrae service is characterized by the gradual extinguishing of candles. The service will end in the FUMC Allen courtyard.

Children in grades K-4 are encouraged to attend the “Good Friday Children’s Experience.” Child care will be available for children ages 4 years and younger.

Good Friday children’s Experience
Friday April 15

We invite all children in grades K-4 to our Good Friday Children’s Experience at 7:00pm in the children’s large group area.

During our time together, we will use the “Holy Moly” curriculum to learn about the events leading up to Jesus’ crucifixion in an age-appropriate way.

Nursery will be available for children ages 4 and younger. Our older students (grades 5 & 6) are encouraged to attend the Good Friday service with their families.
