Stewardship 2023: Because Someone Gave

Stewardship 2023: Because Someone Gave

“Because someone gave…”

Have you ever considered what happens because someone gave?
  • Because someone gave…the Vatoni Ragsdale Bible fund makes sure every child, youth, and adult who wants a Bible receives one.
  • Because someone gave…a leaking kitchen sink and broken dishwasher were replaced for a family of 10 during Change the World Allen.
  • Because someone gave…All Community Outreach has been helping families in Collin County avoid hunger and homelessness and gain financial security since 1985.
  • Because someone gave…children in Honduras have a safe place to live and nutritious food to eat at the House of Hope.
  • Because someone gave…you and I are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.
  • Because someone gave…you and I get to be part of a community of faith known in Allen, Texas, as “The Giving Church.”
As we move through a new six-week worship series, “Focused on Hope,” we are going to hear about those gifts and their impact in our church and community, both in the past and in the present. We’ll consider how when we’re focused on hope we are able to give. We’ll be invited to prayerfully consider how we can be the “someones” who give our time, our talent, and our financial gifts in 2023 to continue this long legacy of impact and giving.
I hope you’ll join us for worship, either in person or online. On August 14, we’re going to take time to bless students of all ages, teachers, staff, administrators, AND parents and caregivers. And there will be an opportunity for you to share your prayers about the start of a new school year.
Because someone gave…we have a wonderful faith community where we can know joy, faith, hope, and love.
I’m praying for you. I hope you’re praying for me.
Grateful.
Pastor Mary Beth
