One of the greatest blessings of being part of a church family is witnessing our community in action. Throughout the spring and summer, our congregation has demonstrated again and again how we express who we are through serving, giving, praying, and caring for one another.
We are deeply grateful for the 69 volunteers who made Vacation Bible School such a joyful and faith-filled week. Their time, energy, and love created a place where children experienced God’s presence in meaningful ways.
Thank you also to everyone who donated supplies for assembling 793 coloring kits that have been shared with the children of immigrant families. These simple gifts become powerful reminders how every person is impacted Beyond Thoughts And Prayers.
We are especially touched by our Golden Girls Sunday School class who collected zoo animal toys for Bruce Williams, a child in our congregation undergoing intensive treatment at a local children’s hospital. Their compassion beautifully reflects what it means to bear one another’s burdens and share Christ’s love in tangible ways. (Read more about Bruce’s zoo HERE.) 
Our sincere appreciation also goes to the members of our Military Support Group and everyone who helped send care packages to our deployed service members. Those packages carried more than supplies—they delivered encouragement, prayers, and the reminder that their church family remembers them.
Earlier this summer, we also celebrated our 20 Bookworm Buddies serving through Project Transformation. On July 19, another group of volunteers will be serving and dining with 50 PT young adults who have been serving the children of our community all summer.
We also lift up the 13 youth and adult volunteers who gave their time and energy to serve with the UM Army in Belton TX and the 22 youth and adults who attended Bridgeport church camp.
Every ministry, whether highly visible or quietly behind the scenes, strengthens our church and extends God’s love into the world. As Paul reminds us in 1 Thessalonians 5:18, “Give thanks in all circumstances.” We are thankful for each person who serves with a willing heart.
Together, you continue to inspire hope, cultivate community, and reflect the light of Christ.
