What happens when hope feels gone and the places that once seemed full of life have become dry and empty? In Ezekiel’s powerful vision of the valley of dry bones, God meets the prophet in a place that appears completely hopeless and asks, “Can these bones live?”
In this sermon, our special guest Rev Karyl Patredis explores God’s promise to restore and renew through the power of God’s breath and Spirit. The dry bones invite us to consider the places in our own lives, our relationships, our church, and our world where we may be experiencing spiritual dryness, discouragement, or a loss of hope. Yet Ezekiel reminds us that what looks lifeless to us is never beyond the reach of God.
Through surrender, openness, and trust, we are invited to make room for the Spirit to breathe new life into us. God is still restoring, renewing, and calling us toward wholeness. Even in the valleys that feel most hopeless, God’s Spirit is present—and God is still breathing life into what we thought was beyond repair.
