August Sermon Series

It is safe to assume that each of us come from families of one kind or another.  The make-up of American families has certainly changed over the years but I have no doubt that though the dynamics have changed we want our family to be happy, healthy, faithful, and sane.  Many parents and grandparents think and reflect how we can continually improve the dynamics of our families to perhaps increase the level of meaning and happiness we experience. Bruce Feiler, in…

July Sermon Series

Holy Humor….  Laughter as Redemption There are passages of scripture that undoubtedly lead us down the straight and narrow.  But so often we take the straight and narrow path so seriously we end up taking ourselves far too seriously.  We fail to see God’s Holy Humor as recorded in the scripture and fail to laugh at lane-brain characters, life and ourselves.  Laughter really is redeeming. It knocks us off our high horses and helps us see ourselves for all…
