Care CorpS
FUMC Allen Care Corps are volunteers who serve our church family by serving at Celebration of Life receptions or by providing meals to families going through a life transition (death in the family, new baby, etc.) To serve on this team, contact Rev Josh Esparza.

Grief Support Group: This group is for anyone dealing with the death of a loved one and meets via Zoom on the fourth Tuesday of each month.
Military Support Group
This group provides support for our church families with loved ones in the armed forces. They conduct supply drives to provide spring care packages and stuffed Christmas stockings for our overseas soldiers each year.

Prayer
We are a church that believes in the power of prayer to connect us with God and transform lives. If you would like to be a part of our prayer ministry, please contact Rev. Josh Esparza. Below are a few ways you can serve:

prayer Cards
Prayer cards are hand written cards of heart-felt prayers that are mailed to anyone who is on our prayer chain for whom we have an address.
Prayer Chain/Prayer Requests
Our Prayer Chain consists of individuals who pray for the needs expressed in our congregation each week. Each week the joys and concerns shared are added to the prayer chain for prayer.
To submit your prayer to the prayer chain, send a prayer request to prayerrequest@fumcallen.org.

Prayer Shawls
Prayer shawls have been a long tradition at First Allen. Many members make and pray over the beautiful knitted or crocheted shawls. The shawls are gifted to individuals, who are ill, hospitalized, facing hard times, the birth of a baby or whomever is in need of prayer and support. To learn more, contact Rev Maxie Moore.

TOUCHING LIVES IN COLLEGE
Touching Lives in College (TLC) is a group of parents of college students who reach out to our college students while they are in school. You are invited to participate in this ministry through your gifts and/or assisting in our packaging sessions! We send two care packages a year (fall and spring) and two notes with gift cards near exam time. Contact Adam Lubbers.
Stephen Ministry
Stephen ministers are trained lay people who provide quality, one-on-one Christian care to those facing a crisis or life-changing challenge. For more information about this ministry, contact Ruth Swingle.
