Town Hall Update

Last Sunday’s Town Hall meeting was nothing short of a huge success especially if you consider that we used all of our available tables and chairs. More than 240 participated in the conversation about the future of our congregation and heard engaging presentations about a possible campaign to fund needed updates to our facility. All activities at First United Methodist Church of Allen for the evening of January 6, 2017 (except for AA and NA) have been cancelled. This includes tonight’s UPWARD games, basketball practices, and DARING choir rehearsal. The UPWARD games scheduled for the morning of Saturday, January 7, have been cancelled. Vision 2020: Coming into Focus

Town Hall Meeting January 8, 2017 12:15pm On  September 11, FUMC Allen approved hiring a capital campaign consultant to complete a study to determine if a capital campaign would be possible in our church and what the potential for capital would be in our congregation. Charge Conference Update: Sept 2016

FUMC Allen Charge Conference Update September 11, 2016 A near record number of people (160)  attended Charge Conference on September 11 to consider how to move forward with Vision 2020, our stepping stones and most especially Modernizing Our Facility.   Dr. Ron Henderson, our District Superintendent, presided at the meeting which approved a motion to establish a building committee, hire an architect and capital campaign consultant to lead us in determining how to affordably modernize our facility.
