College Scholarship Applications for 2023 Now Available

First United Methodist Church of Allen offers several opportunities to earn financial help for full-time college and post-graduate students who have been accepted into and attending an accredited institution of higher learning. Applicants will be considered for all scholarships–Program, Endowment and Memorial–awarded by FUMC Allen. To be considered for the different scholarship programs, complete the specific addenda in the application. Bible Studies for 2023

Are you looking for a small group and an opportunity to study God’s Word? Our new year is well underway, and one way to start off your better year is through discipleship and Bible study. To that end, FUMC Allen is offering four adult Bible studies that are welcoming new participants this month. Fall Festival Trunks (or Trucks) Needed

  Trunk or Treat at Fall Festival Sunday, October 30 12:00pm-2:00pm FUMC Allen Hey small groups! Families! and others! You are invited to host a trunk at Trunk or Treat, an annual highlight of our Fall Festival on Sunday, October 30. Pickleball Summer Schedule

Pickleball Mondays 1:00-3:00pm Wednesdays 9:00AM-1:00pm Saturdays 1:00pm-4:00pm Gym FUMC Allen fully functioning indoor pickleball court has new summer hours. The gym will be open on Mondays from 1:00pm to 3:00pm, Wednesdays from 9:00am to 1:00pm and Saturdays from 1:00pm to 4:00pm for anyone who wants to enjoy the wholehearted sport of pickleball. Celebrate the International Day of Yoga with a Free Yoga Class

As we begin the new year, FUMC Allen wants to help you and encourage you to read the Bible this year. We have identified two programs: The Bible Project, which has reading plans on their website as well as a brand new, highly rated mobile app, and The Connect Bible Plan, which is being used in our Children’s Ministry program.

FUMC Allen Welcomes Adam Lubbers as New Director of Adult Discipleship

FUMC Allen is pleased to announce that we have hired Adam Lubbers as our Director of Adult Discipleship. Adam will join our staff on Sunday, July 18. He is currently on staff at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church in Farmers Branch, where he has served as youth minister and pastoral intern for the last three years.
