Volunteer Opportunity with English Conversation Class
The English Conversation Class that meets at FUMC Allen on Thursdays at 7:00pm is looking for conversation partners for the fall semester. As a conversation partner, you will lead the discussion with a small group of people who are looking for opportunities to practice and improve their English. Bible Reading Plans 2022
As we begin the new year, FUMC Allen wants to help you and encourage you to read the Bible this year. We have identified two programs: The Bible Project, which has reading plans on their website as well as a brand new, highly rated mobile app, and The Connect Bible Plan, which is being used in our Children’s Ministry program.
FUMC Allen Welcomes Adam Lubbers as New Director of Adult Discipleship
FUMC Allen is pleased to announce that we have hired Adam Lubbers as our Director of Adult Discipleship. Adam will join our staff on Sunday, July 18. He is currently on staff at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church in Farmers Branch, where he has served as youth minister and pastoral intern for the last three years. Open House
FUMC Allen welcomes our Muslim neighbors on January, January 24. We’ll share a meal in the Fellowship Hall at 5:30pm and worship together with prayer and communion at 6:00pm in the sanctuary. At 6:30pm, we’ll offer a United Methodist 101 class for anyone interested in learning more about the United Methodist faith. All are welcome to attend.
