On Saturday, May 6, 2023, a lone gunman opened fire on shoppers of the busy Premium Outlets Mall in Allen, Texas, killing eight people and seriously wounding seven. We are all traumatized and mourning this horrible tragedy in our community. Lent is a season of forty days, not counting Sundays, which begins on Ash Wednesday and ends on Holy Saturday. Lent comes from the Anglo Saxon word lencten, meaning “lengthen” and refers to the lengthening days of spring. FUMC Allen is pleased to announce the implementation of a free English Conversation Class taught by Rev Justin Noh on Thursdays from 7:00pm to 8:30pm in S207/211.
