Confirmation refers to the decision a person makes to respond to God’s grace with intentional commitment, publicly reaffirming his or her baptismal vows before the congregation. Confirmands are youth in the sixth and seventh grade who together learn about the meaning of Christian faith, the history and teachings of the United Methodist Church, and an explanation of the baptismal and membership vows they will be professing. College Scholarship Applications for 2023 Now Available
First United Methodist Church of Allen offers several opportunities to earn financial help for full-time college and post-graduate students who have been accepted into and attending an accredited institution of higher learning. Applicants will be considered for all scholarships–Program, Endowment and Memorial–awarded by FUMC Allen. To be considered for the different scholarship programs, complete the specific addenda in the application. Bible Reading Plans 2022
As we begin the new year, FUMC Allen wants to help you and encourage you to read the Bible this year. We have identified two programs: The Bible Project, which has reading plans on their website as well as a brand new, highly rated mobile app, and The Connect Bible Plan, which is being used in our Children’s Ministry program.
DARING Ministries Donates $700 to Heifer International
DARING ministries, FUMC Allen’s youth choir program, chose to raise money for Heifer International as their 2019-2020 choir tour service project. Heifer International is an organization that’s on a mission to end hunger and poverty in a sustainable way by supporting and investing alongside local farmers and their communities. The Youth and the Architect
