Communion Offering: Children’s Advocacy Center of Collin County

FUMC Allen’s communion offering for December will make a lifelong impact in the life of an abused or neglected child. Each year, more than 4,500 children are reported as abused or neglected in Collin County. Through the services provided at the Children’s Advocacy Center, these children are able to find safety, healing, and justice. The Children’s Advocacy Center of Collin County provides a safe, child-friendly environment where law enforcement, Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS), prosecution, and medical…

Yard Signs Now Available for Your Mission Field

Loving God Loving Neighbor| A Message for YOUR Mission Field For years, the church as an institution has considered our “mission field” as the one-mile radius around the church property. We sought to learn as much as we could about those living and working in close proximity to our 601 S Greenville campus. Then 2020 happened. Through the experiences of social distancing and livestream worship, we have expanded our thinking and considered the limitations of a one-mile radius mission field.…

Pop Top Ministry Continues to Thrive at FUMC Allen

For many years now, Shelley and Mark Stevenson have collected pop-tabs for the Ronald McDonald House on behalf of FUMC Allen. They have gone outside the church into their circles of influence, gathering millions of pop tabs along the way. On August 6 alone, Mark and Shelley deposited 13 containers of…

Change 4 Change

Change 4 Change Update Change4Change started at FUMC Allen on March 25, 2018. The idea is simple: to designate all the loose change (pennies, nickels, dimes, etc.) received in the offering plate during worship toward the General Mission fund. And those pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters really add up! In 2018, we received $973.88 to use for missions just from Change4Change! We used these funds to support teachers at Rountree Elementary School, supply 700 water bottles for students at Boyd…
