May Staffing Update

FUMC Allen’s Staff Parish Relations Committee is pleased to announce that Dana Allison will be joining our staff as our interim elementary minister while we conduct the search to fill that position. Her official start date is May 16. Dana has been working with Susan Hale this past week to help make the transition as smooth as possible for our elementary children and their families. Please join us in welcoming Dana to our staff.

Bishop Announces Pastoral Appointment for Rev. Dr. Abe Smith

Bishop Michael McKee and the cabinet of the North Texas Conference are pleased to announce the appointment of Rev. Dr. Abe Smith as Associate Pastor at First United Methodist Church of McKinney beginning July 1, 2019. Among other duties at FUMC McKinney, Abe will serve as the preaching pastor for the Wellspring Contemporary Worship service. The UMC Appointment Process

As announced earlier this week, Rev. Todd Harris is being appointed as the new District Superintendent of the Northwest District effective July 1, 2019. Until late June, Pastor Todd and his family will continue to be part of FUMC Allen. Todd will be preaching regularly and doing all the things he does normally. He will on occasion attend cabinet meetings to learn about his new job, but his primary responsibility remains serving as our Senior Pastor for the next five months.…
