What are your office hours?

Office hours are 9:00am-1:00pm, Monday-Friday. During office hours, please enter the church through the south entrance.

When are your worship services?

Sunday worship is held in the sanctuary at 8:40am for The Table and  11:00am for traditional worship.  For more about what to expect at worship, visit What to Expect.

Do you have a preschool?

Yes, we do. To learn more about Children’s Creative Playday Preschool, visit their website or call 972.396.7575.

Does FUMC Allen have a social media presence?

FUMC Allen is plugged in to the world of social media through Facebook (facebook.com/fumcallen), Twitter (@fumcallen), and Instagram (@fumcallen). We also post videos on YouTube. We livestream two of our Sunday services from our livestream worship page, which can be viewed on YouTube or Facebook. We host an online chat group at 8:40am and 11:00am during the Facebook broadcast.

Our goal is to help connect  people in an online forum and  share the social resources of the church as well as generate feedback and conversations with others beyond our church walls.

Do you have any newsletters? How do I subscribe?

Each week, we send subscribers an email called “This Week at FUMC Allen,”  via Constant Contact, an outside service provider. Other newsletters include one for parents of children, one for youth, and a daily prayer chain. You can subscribe to any of our email lists by clicking this link.

How can I communicate my event?

The sooner we know about your event, the more often we can tell people about it!

All events must be approved by FUMC Allen staff and booked in our church calendar before the event can be promoted. For more information on how to plan an event at the church, contact your ministry’s staff liaison.

Once a major church-wide event is approved, your staff liaison will work with Alison Thomas, FUMC Allen’s communication director, to develop a communication plan and schedule. A major church-wide event is any event that crosses ministry lines (e.g., Youth and Music Ministry working together to produce a youth fundraising event each year). Promotions plans for ministry events, events that occur within one ministry area on a smaller scale, can be created by working through your staff liaison.

How do I submit articles to your newsletters?

We publish timely information in our weekly enewsletter, This Week at FUMC Allen. Email your submissions to bulletin@fumcallen.org by Friday, 5:00pm, nine (9) calendar days before the Sunday distribution. Email submissions in your email message (attach images only, please). Articles in the bulletin will run no more than two consecutive weeks and are typically edited down to 25 words or less.

Early submissions help us to publicize your major church-wide event outside the walls of the church via social media (Facebook, Twitter, etc) and other media resources. For assistance in creating a marketing plan for your special event, contact your ministry liaison.

What do I do if I change my email address?

To update your email address for our weekly emails, which are sent via our database housed with Constant Contact, please find the latest email newsletter you’ve received from the church. Scroll down to the end of that email and click on the link that says “Update Profile/Email Address” to access your subscription controls. There, you can change your salutation, your email address, and your newsletter subscriptions.

To update your email address in our church’s database, send an email to Elizabeth Fairchild . Or follow the directions below to update your email address via our church membership database via Engaging Online, FUMC Allen’s secure online access to your church member data.

How do I log in to the church membership database?

If you have not logged into our membership database recently recently, please remember the following guidelines:

  • From any page on this website, click on Member LogIn in the header.
  • Use this format to enter your User Name: FirstNameLastName (example, JohnSmith)
  • If you have forgotten your password, click on Forgot my password.
  • Your login is associated with the most current email address you have on file with the church. If your email has changed since your last login, you will need to contact the church by clicking Update Your Email Address.
  • If you are not a church member or have never used our membership database, simply select Need a login?  Complete the information and continue your registration.
How do I schedule an event at the church?

Does FUMC Allen have an inclement weather policy?

In anticipation of winter weather, FUMC Allen has established closing procedures in the event of dangerous conditions due to snow or ice. Our goal is to keep our guests and members safe and off the roads if hazardous driving becomes an issue.

When the threat of inclement weather is in the immediate forecast for the entire North Texas area, please watch this website. Subscribers to FUMC Allen’s email newsletters will also receive a Late Breaking News e-mail alert. You must be subscribed to our Constant Contact email service to receive the email notification.

Closing announcements will first be posted here on this website and on our church’s Facebook page. On weekdays during the public school year, FUMC Allen follows the closing decisions of the Allen ISD. Under most circumstances, a decision to close or delay school due to bad weather is made by 6:00am or earlier, according to the Allen ISD’s inclement weather policy. If schools are closed, the church is closed and all daytime activities are cancelled. If school openings are delayed, we will delay opening the church and Children’s Creative Playday Preschool.

During the evenings, weekend, and times school is not in session, visit this website page for details. We ask that members and guests not call the church office about church closings and program cancellations as we will be heading home to work remotely.
