Embrace and Transform Building Project

Embrace and Transform Building Project

The Journey

At our 2014 Charge  Conference, our Congregation’s Leadership approved Vision 2020, updating our Vision Statement and embarking upon a journey to reshape the future of our congregation through Seven Stepping StonesThe Seventh Stepping Stone is:

Modernize our facility – Create an even more sacred and inviting space for worship, relationships, and faith building for the coming generation.

In 2015, a Facilities Modernization Team was formed to begin exploring  the best way to fulfill the Seventh Stepping Stone.  After receiving significant congregational and staff input, this lead to the forming of our Building Committee in 2016.  This dedicated team has invested thousands of hours of work, communicating with the congregation to secure the resources and deploy them in the most cost-effective way to achieve this stepping stone.  This work has resulted in 3 Building Project Priorities.

Building Project Priorities

Our efforts have lead to a Five Million Dollar Project which will meet our priorities and transform our facility for the future.

Embrace and Transform is the name of this project.  It helps define the spiritual reasons for redefining our physical facilities in a more modern way.

It’s about embracing ministry.

  • Embrace our vision.
  • Embrace our commitment of our time, talent, gifts, service, and witness.
  • Embrace all people and all generations.
  • Embrace missions.
  • Embrace the Spirit to lead us.

It’s an opportunity for God to transform us individually and as a congregation.

  • Transform us to strengthen our faith and the faith of our children and youth.
  • Transform us to be an inviting church with radical hospitality.
  • Transform us to reach others in our community and be impactful in their lives.
