New BanD. New Name. Familiar Faces.
On Friday, April 21, fans of The Connections Band will want to be at First United Methodist Church of Allen to experience the newest clergy-inspired cover band in the nation.
The band is called Enter-Mission. This new name was born from the band’s objective to use popular beloved rock music to share their talents and raise funds of missional causes around the world.
This premier concert is a fundraiser for UMCOR and their latest response to support victims in the February earthquakes in Turkey and Syria.
The music will feature covers of some of the greatest music by Chicago and the Eagles. You’ll hear hits such as:
- Hotel California
- Take It Easy
- Peaceful Easy Feeling
- Seven Bridges Road
- Desperado
- Saturday in the Park
- Beginnings
- Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is
- 25 or 6 to 4
Forming the band are some of the familiar faces from the Connections Band: Rusty King on guitar/vocals, Randy Locke on bass, and John Stenger on vocals. New faces include Jeff McPherson on guitar, Cathy McPherson on vocals, UMC Pastor Rob Price on drums, and UMC Deacon Nicki Lightfoot on piano.
The last Connections concert at FUMC Allen was in April 2022. An audience of 450 donated raised $8,000 for Ukraine relief. This event’s goal is to welcome 600 into the FUMC Allen Courtyard (or sanctuary if it’s raining) to raise $10,000 for aid to Turkey and Syria. To make this happen, we need you here on April 21 with generous pockets and a joyful heart. Bring your friends and family so they can become the newest fans of Enter-Mission.
