In Beat With God (IBWG) Children’s Percussion Group, grades 2-6, performs regularly in Sunday worship services at FUMC Allen. They meet for rehearsals on Wednesdays from 5:30pm to 6:00pm in the Children’s Assembly Area (C170) with director Karen O’Connor.
This group provides a unique opportunity for your child or grandchild to connect with other children in creating, learning and playing coordinated rhythm patterns. The group utilizes percussion instruments, such as bongos, hand drums, claves, tapping sticks, shakers, maracas, hand cymbals, and xylophones.
This fall, we’ll lead worship on Sunday, November 12, at the 11:00am service.
On December 13, we’ll present “Carols, Cookies, and Cocoa” when we join with Joyful Noise Children’s Choir and the Youth Choir to share carols at a local nursing home at 3:00pm and return to the church at 4:00pm to perform for our families and friends.
