Reflect Journals for Lent 2021
Journal UPDATE Our Neighborhood Captains have been busy over the past week delivering Lenten Reflect Journals to our church members and regular visitors. We’ve already had a question about how to use these journals, especially as there may some neighbors who have not been part of worship and heard Pastor Mary Beth speak of them on Sunday morning. Each week in worship, we’ll be reflecting on the question, :”Who am I in Christ?” and considering a different “I am…’ statement.…

Ash Wednesday, February 17, marks the beginning of the season of Lent. This year at FUMC Allen, we’ll offer two worship opportunities to observe Ash Wednesday: the first at 12:00pm in the West or East Parking lot and the second at 7:00pm in the sanctuary. On this holy day, we remember that we are dust, receiving ashes upon our heads. Yet, we are also fearfully and wonderfully made by our God who breathed life into a little bit of dust.…
First United Methodist Church of Allen Keeps Stockings for Soldiers Tradition Alive in 2020
2020 became a year of many unanticipated changes. One thing that didn’t change for the members of First United Methodist Church of Allen (FUMC Allen) was the need to encourage our soldiers serving our country and away from home during the holiday season. FUMC Allen’s Military…
