Welcome to FIRST KIDS
At FUMC Allen, our kids are on a mission to discover God’s direction for their lives and we are here, working with God’s Holy Word, to help them understand:
- How do we follow Christ?
- Where is God leading us?
- How and where should we serve God?
Children’s Ministry is all about helping our children navigate the Bible and apply its teaching to their lives. In turn, we are passionate about our Compass Kids pointing friends and family in God’s direction.
Can’t you just hear a child saying, “Follow me to Christ?” Or, can you imagine seeing a child point their friends to FUMC Allen because of what they’ve experienced on Sunday morning?
As children come through our doors, we would like them to know…
- God loves us unconditionally.
- We can trust God for everything.
- God gives us wisdom to serve others and to make good decisions.
Sunday School
Join us for any of our Sunday morning children’s programs for fun and fellowship. Our program is divided into early childhood ministry and mid-childhood (K-6) ministry.
Preschool Ministry
Nursery
Nursery care is provided during all worship services (including holidays) for children from birth through age 4. We also have a private nursing space for moms and their little ones.
Preschool Sunday School
Our preschool Sunday school meets each week at 9:45am for children age 2 through pre-kindergarten.

Elementary Ministry
Elementary Sunday School
Our children in grades K through 5 meet at 9:45am in the Children’s Wing for Sunday School each week.

Sixth Grade ON DECK
On Deck is our sixth grade program at FUMC Allen that we’ve designed as a fun year of learning and fellowship for our students as they complete their last year in Children’s Ministry! We’ve structured the curriculum and activities to serve as a starting point to our seventh grade confirmation program.
All sixth graders who attend our church are welcome to participate in the On Deck program. We meet every Sunday morning at 9:30am in our children’s wing.

Children’s Creative Playday Preschool
FUMC Allen is home to Children’s Creative Playday Preschool for children ages 18 months through transitional kindergarten. To learn more about this wonderful program, visit their website or contact Playday Director Trish Morehead.
