You can make a difference right here in our church family. Care for those experiencing hard times, become a buddy for a special needs child, help offer worship in a local nursing home, help with handyman tasks or find another way to serve that fits your schedule.
Welcome
Another way to serve in our church is to offer a warm welcome. A friendly smile and “hello” can go a long way toward offering God’s grace to another, whether that person has attended this church for 50 years or it is their very first day to come across our threshold. MISSIONS CAFE
Serving is at the heart of who we are as a church. And at the heart of our new atrium is Missions Café, a ministry that offers coffee, espresso drinks, and smoothies. All are here at FUMC Allen to raise money to support the mission efforts of our church. Join our brew crew HERE, a team of volunteers called to serve others.
Landscape Maintenance
We are in need of volunteers to assist in the ongoing maintenance of our campus landscaping. Activities include mowing (riding and push), trimming and edging, weeding, debris removal using blowers, and spreading fertilizer. This work will typically occur on Saturday mornings starting at 9:30am (weather permitting). This is a great way to get a jump start to reaching your daily step goal.

Facilities
As you know, physical structures need love and care, too! We have a wonderful team of devoted volunteers who keep our campus in shape so it can be a safe, beautiful place to grow in our love of God and neighbor. Put your skills to work, whether it’s painting, construction, electrical, plumbing, woodworking, or administration. We could use your help both during the week and at quarterly church-wide workdays.
