Rev. Todd Harris

Rev. Todd Harris

Rev. Todd Harris became senior pastorof FUMC Allen in 2006. Serving this congregation continues to be one of the greatest adventures he’s ever taken. Todd is passionate about leading the church to discover and live out her full potential as a faith community and mission outpost in Allen, Texas, making a difference locally and felt globally.  In addition to being the lead pastor, Todd serves on the Board of Directors for Allen Community Outreach and as the chair of the NTX Conference Board of Pensions and Health Benefits.

Todd is married to Stephanie, who is the librarian at Chandler Elementary School in Allen ISD. His two children are Kathryn, a junior at the University of Arkansas and Philip, a sophomore at Allen High School. Todd loves time with his family and time fly fishing the great rivers of Colorado and Montana.

Todd graduated from Texas A&M University in 1985, and he received a Master of Divinity at Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University in 1990. He was ordained an Elder in the United Methodist Church in 1992.

Little known facts about Todd:
Pets: Juneau (Miniature Schnauzer) and Alaska (a mix breed cat).
Favorite movie: Dead Poets Society & A River Runs Through It.
Favorite fiction author: John Grisham.
A favorite book: Canoeing the Mountains by Todd Bolsinger.
Churches of my youth: Golden Acres Methodist Church in Pasadena, Cokesbury UMC in Houston and FUMC Marlin.
His dream for FUMC Allen: To be a church of people who are completely sold out followers of Jesus Christ and whole-heartedly committed to changing the world. At FUMC, there are no onlookers. Everyone accepts their calling and lives it out in my dream for FUMC.
Favorite Scripture: This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us. 1 John 4:10-12
