The Next Act: Children’s Ministry
LUKE 18:16-17 NRSV
Rev Mary Beth Hardesty-Crouch

15 People were bringing even infants to him that he might touch them; and when the disciples saw it, they sternly ordered them not to do it. 16 But Jesus called for them and said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of God belongs. 17 Truly I tell you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will never enter it.”
LUKE 18:16-17 NRSV

Call to Worship

We will bless the Lord at all times.
God’s praise shall always be on our lips.
Come, children, and rejoice.
Happy are those who take refuge in God.
Let us exalt our God together.
(based on Psalm 34)

We believe in God who loves us and wants us to love each other,
This is our God.
We believe in Jesus who cared about children and held them in his arms. He wanted a
world where everyone could live together in peace.
This is Jesus Christ.
We believe in the Holy Spirit who keeps working with us until everything is good and true.
This is the Holy Spirit.
We can be the Church which reminds people of God because we love each other.
This we believe. Amen.
