Lent/Easter Survey

Lent and Easter 2021 marked a move back toward life and worship as we once knew it. While the reality of the COVID-19 pandemic allowed us to test our creativity and try new things, our goal during this Lenten and Easter season was to give to God our best as we continue to offer those traditions that ground us as Christians and help us equip others in following Jesus. We have designed our 2021 Lenten/Easter survey to gather your perspective…

Worship Series: Life Signs

He is risen! He is risen indeed! We worship a risen savior and the good news of our faith is that Easter is not limited to one Sunday a year. Some say that every Sunday is a mini-Easter because we gather to celebrate our resurrection faith. The Church calendar tells us that Easter is the season that lasts for 50 days, beginning on Easter Sunday and concluding on the day of Ascension when Jesus ascended to be with God. No matter…

Egg Hunt

The Easter Egg Hunt is returning to FUMC Allen with bounce houses, science experiments, and kite flying on Saturday, March 24, 2018. The event begins at 10:00am with the egg hunt at 11:45am! Younger children will hunt at their leisure throughout the morning. We need volunteers to help before and the day of the event. Please contact Children’s Ministry, 972.727.8261.

Greeters Needed!

Need a change in 2018?  Make a resolution to become a weekly greeter!  It’s SO easy! Weekly greeters are responsible for extending radical hospitality to everyone who walks through the doors of our church. Twenty minutes on a Sunday morning is all it takes to be a part of this vital ministry.  We need adults as well as kids 6th through 12th grade (students can earn community service hours by serving). Contact Rev Maxie Moore for more information.

Seeing Jesus in a New Way

How we see and understand Jesus the Christ determines how we live out the Christian faith. Has your understanding of Jesus evolved since you were a child or first introduced to him? Do you see Jesus as more than a name in the Bible and words in a song that you sing on special occasions? Does the life and teaching of Jesus stretch you beyond your comfort zone? What might it mean for your faith journey to genuinely try and…
