Gulf Coast Mission Trip

Hurricane Harvey, a Category 4 hurricane, first struck the Texas Gulf Coast on the evening of Aug. 25, 2017. After coming ashore, the hurricane stalled and remained a Category 3 hurricane for 5 days before exiting back out into the Gulf of Mexico. Fourteen counties in the Rio Texas Conference were impacted. Hurricane Relief

You are all aware of the devastation that followed in the wake of Hurricane Harvey. Our church and our community were quick to respond with an outpouring of love and generosity. On Sunday, September 3, we hosted a Kids Against Hunger meal packaging for folks impacted by the storm. 205 volunteers served for over 300 hours. With that many hands, we were able to package 21,384 meals. Those meals left on a truck on Tuesday, September 5, to serve folks…
