Sponsor a Child at the House of Hope

The House of Hope provides a Christ-centered home where children and youth can feel safe and secure while completing their educational goals. The House of Hope is home to 30-35 at-risk children and youth in the city of Puerto Lempira, Honduras. One of the ways we support this vital ministry is by sponsoring children at the house. These sponsorships not only offset the costs for raising and caring for a child or youth, but gives us the opportunity to communicate,…

Lent 2022

Lent is a season of forty days, not counting Sundays, which begins on Ash Wednesday and ends on Holy Saturday. Lent comes from the Anglo Saxon word lencten, meaning “lengthen” and refers to the lengthening days of spring. The forty days represents the time Jesus spent in the wilderness, enduring the temptation of Satan and preparing to begin his ministry. Lent is a time of repentance, fasting, and preparation for the coming of Easter. It is a time of self-examination and reflection. In the…

Change 4 Change

Change 4 Change 2021 During the COVID pandemic, we made the decision to follow social distancing protocols in the sanctuary once we returned to worshiping in person. As the restrictions lessened and the vaccination rates increase, we returned to passing our offering plates during worship on Sunday, November 28, 2021. With that also came the return of our #change4change for missions. With Change 4 Change, all loose change (quarters, dimes, nickels, pennies, etc.) dropped in the plates will go to…
