Project Transformation Summer Volunteer Opportunities

Distribute food & supplies at PT site churches This summer, we will distribute a grab-and-go meal, as well as program and household supplies, to children and family members in our program. PTNT needs two to three direct service volunteers to sanitize, organize, and distribute supplies, Monday through Thursday, at several locations throughout Dallas. Why I participate in Feed our Neighbors and what I have learned in the process by Kim Stepniak As part of an ongoing effort to build bridges between our communities, the Islamic Association of Allen has invited FUMC Allen to join in preparing sandwiches and assembling meals for the homeless. Project Transformation (PT) builds partnerships between college-age young adults, children, and churches to address the achievement gap for children from low-income communities. Most kids will experience a “summer slide.” In middle or high income homes, children usually have limitless access to books, educational tools, and interested adults, but that’s not the case for many children from low-income families.
