Good Friday 2019

FUMC Allen will honor Good Friday with a worship service i on Friday, April 19, at 7:00pm in the sanctuary. We remember this final day of Holy Week with a Service of Darkness that features the Theodore DuBois oratorio, “The Seven Last Words of Christ.” This oratorio premiered on Good Friday 1867 at Église de la Madeleine in Paris under Dubois’ direction. Because our Good Friday service is typically a somber event, we offer our children an alternative Good Friday Children’s Experience in BaseCamp. We invite kindergarten-sixth graders to join us as we learn about the last few hours of Jesus life in a way that children can understand. Our nursery is open for children in pre-K and younger.

Upward Soccer Spring 2019

FUMC Allen is proud to host a recreational level of soccer where your athlete can learn the fundamentals of the game and grow both on and off the court. Upward Indoor Soccer is for boys and girls grades kindergarten through six. We’ll host an eight game season, which includes one game per week and end of season playoffs for players in grades 4-6. APT G: A Place To Go

In 2006, the Special Kids Ministry Team at FUMC Allen identified a need for a community-based program for youth and young adults in the Allen area. Sunday Morning Nursery

Our nursery is a wonderful place for families to find care for their youngest members during worship and special events. Our nursery staff is background checked and trained in CPR and first aid.  On Sunday mornings, we’ll share an age- appropriate Bible lesson. Nursery care is provided during all worship services (including holidays). We also have a private nursing space for moms and their little ones. On Deck Sixth Grade Children’s Sunday School

Children in sixth grade have a class all their own, a class designed to start the Confirmation process. Our On Deck sixth graders participate in Sunday school, fellowship, and worship in the main sanctuary.  The children are matched to a faith partner, an adult member of the church, who will walk with the student through the entire Confirmation process.
