Yoga Flow (Morning)
Yoga Flow and Stretch is an all levels class specifically designed for those that can get up and down off of the floor. The class combines yoga poses with gentle stretching. Please bring your own yoga mat, or you can purchase a new mat during class check-in.
Chair Yoga
Chair Yoga uses chairs and props for balance and stability. The class is open to all, but designed to bring the benefits of yoga to those who have difficulty getting up and down off of the floor, are recovering from injury, or have other physical limitations. Participants do not need to bring a mat.
Men’s Bible Study
This group of men meet each week to discuss the scripture for Sunday’s upcoming sermon. Several of the men are meeting in person in the Fellowship Hall, but a few are joining virtually by phone or video. You are welcome to join the group either virtually or in person. Grieving Hearts Group
Grieving Hearts Group: Death of a Spouse Grief Support offered by FUMC Allen In Association with VNA Collin County At this time, all meetings are virtual (ZOOM) This group is for anyone dealing with the death of a spouse. The Table
On Sunday, November 15, FUMC Allen premiered The Table, a modern service specifically designed for contemporary, casual, and intimate worship. Faith Builders Sunday Morning Class
This informal group meets each week to grow closer to God and closer to one another. While this class is made up mostly of parents of children from late elementary school through college, all are welcome to join.
Daybreak Sunday Morning Class
These age 60+ senior adults gather each week to study the bible and gain an understanding of scripture, apply it to daily life, and live this application out in the world.
Agape Sunday Morning Class
Married and single adults, ages 40-60, meet weekly to study God’s word and share His love. Most in this class have children in high school or older; however, all are welcome.
Bible 101 Sunday Morning Class
The Bible 101 Class is a group of 30-50 year old adults using a variety of studies, focusing on growing in their understanding of the Bible and the Christian faith. This group focuses on issues faced in life and how the Bible relates to these issues
Genesis Sunday Morning Class
This group of age 40+ couples and singles varies its studies of the Bible to understand how the Bible speaks to issues such as relationships, family and other matters of daily life.
Golden Girls Sunday Morning Class
The Golden Girls study God’s word and its practical application for daily living as women in the world today.
Seekers Sunday Morning Class
The Seekers, adults in their 30s-50s focuses on building relationships while enjoying Christian fellowship. Married and single adults study the Bible to find guidance and strength in dealing with life experiences while living faithfully within their families, their work, and their community.
Sojourners Sunday Morning Class
This group of age 50+ lively seniors grows in Christ through scripture-based studies that usually last from 6 to 12 weeks. They are active in fellowship and service on a regular basis.
Women Unplugged Sunday Morning Class
Women Unplugged, a group of women in their 30s-70s, gather to unplug from their daily routines and the general busy-ness of life to focus on God’s Word in the Bible and its practical application for daily living as a woman in the world today, while encouraging one another in their Christian journey.
Cornerstone Sunday Morning Class
This lively group of married and single adults in their 30s-60s gathers for fellowship and Christian growth. Many have preschool to high school age children, though some have no children and some college and adult age children. Studies vary from books or parts of the Bible, to those that relate the Bible to various life issues.
Kindergarten – 5th Grade Sunday School
Children’s Sunday School is meeting in person at 9:45am in the Children’s Wing at FUMC Allen. Harmony Sunday Morning Class
This group of mostly retired senior adults enjoys fellowship as they discuss the Bible and the many aspects the Christian life. They study a variety of biblically related topics to help them grow in their Christian faith.
Journey Sunday Morning Class
Singles and couples have lively discussions about the Bible and living a life of faith, while supporting one another in the Christian life. This class frequently studies current Christian books as well as topics relevant to our faith.
New Beginnings Sunday Morning Class
This informal and lively class of age 50+ adults studies the Bible to relate it to life. Studies on a variety of topics usually last from 6 to 12 weeks. Many of the members of this class have adult children and grandchildren.
On Deck Sixth Grade Children’s Sunday School
Welcome to On Deck! On Deck is our sixth grade program at FUMC Allen that we’ve designed as a fun year of learning and fellowship for our students as they complete their last year in Children’s Ministry! DARING Ministries Youth Orchestra
The DARING Ministries Youth Orchestra is a group of 7th-12th grade youth that accompanies the DARING Choir, providing inspirational music during Sunday worship at FUMC Allen. Lonny Veach, a longtime member of FUMC Allen, comes from a long family line of rodeo cowboys. His grandfather, Monroe Veach, started the Veach Saddlery Co. in Trenton, MO, in 1919. That same year Billie Veach, Lonny’s father, was born. Billie was a rodeo contestant and produced Veach Rodeos in the upper Midwest until his death in 1957. Communion Sunday
Join us for The Great Thanksgiving on the first Sunday of each month during our 11:00am livestream worship service. We invite you to create your own worship space by lighting a candle and gathering communion elements for yourself and your family. You can partake of Holy Communion during the service by preparing a solid, such as bread, a tortilla, or a cracker, and a liquid, such as grape juice or water, before worship begins.
