Children in sixth grade have a class all their own, a class designed to start the Confirmation process. Our On Deck sixth graders participate in Sunday school, fellowship, and worship in the main sanctuary. The children are matched to a faith partner, an adult member of the church, who will walk with the student through the entire Confirmation process. Our Hospitality Team invites all church members to serve as a greeter/ambassador at FUMC Allen one Sunday each month before your regularly attended worship service. Our Hospitality Team is providing a 10 minute training session for greeters/ambassadirs on the third Sunday of each month in the west entrance from 10:40-10:50am. This lively group of married and single adults in their 30s-50s gathers for fellowship and Christian growth. Many have preschool to high school age children, though some have no children and some college and adult age children. Studies vary from books or parts of the Bible, to those that relate the Bible to various life issues.
This group of mostly retired senior adults enjoys fellowship as they discuss the Bible and the many aspects the Christian life. They study a variety of biblically related topics to help them grow in their Christian faith.
