This Christmas, FUMC Allen is once again remembering our deployed troops and those serving far from home through our annual Stockings for Soldiers campaign. You can be part of this ministry by shopping for care items, making a financial contribution, or helping pack the stockings for shipment.
HOW YOU CAN SERVE
🛍️ Shop & Donate • October 4–11
Pick up a few items from the list below and bring them to FUMC Allen anytime October 4–11. A collection crate will be available in the Atrium, and we will continue to accept items through 12:00pm on November 1.
💵 Give Toward Shipping
Cash donations help cover the cost of shipping these stockings overseas. You can mail a donation to the church, drop it off on Sunday morning, or bring it to the church office. Please designate “Military Stockings” on your check or envelope.
📦 Help Pack • November 1
Join us in the FUMC Allen Gym on November 1 at 12:00pm as we gather to pack the stockings and prepare them for shipment. It’s a simple, hands-on way to serve together and remind our troops that they are not forgotten.
CARE ITEMS NEEDED
- Snacks: Nuts, trail mix, snack crackers, energy bars, beef jerky, Lifesavers, mints, sunflower seeds, hard candies
- Drinks: Individual hot chocolate packets, water-bottle flavorings, coffee singles, tea bags
- Stationery & Games: Word-find books, small games, decks of cards, pencils, black-ink pens, small notepads or notebooks
- Toiletries: Toothbrushes, toothpaste, small packages of Q-tips, individual tissue packs, Chapstick, small baby wipes
Prefer to shop online? You can order items directly from our Amazon Wish List, and your donations will be delivered right to the church.
SEND A STOCKING TO SOMEONE YOU LOVE
We’d also love to send a stocking to your deployed military loved one. Provide their name and current mailing address by Sunday, November 1, and we’ll include them in our shipment.
Whether you shop, give, pack, or help spread the word, your contribution can bring a little Christmas encouragement to someone serving far from home. Join us and help make sure our troops know they are remembered this holiday season.
