College Scholarship Applications For 2024

First United Methodist Church of Allen offers several opportunities to earn financial help for full-time college and post-graduate students who have been accepted into and attending an accredited institution of higher learning. Applicants will be considered for all scholarships available through FUMC Allen. In case of emergency . . . On rare occasions, medical emergencies do happen here at FUMC Allen. Do you know what to do when an emergency situation happens while you are at the church? We want to remind our congregation that we have several first aid kits located inside the church as well as an automated external defibrillator (AED), which is used to help those experiencing sudden cardiac arrest. Mailbox Theft Alert and New Mailing Address

Intentional Mailbox Damage and Theft Recently, our church experienced intentional damage to the campus mailbox. We were made aware that the intentional damage resulted in the theft of some of the incoming mail to the church. We were able to confirm the theft as a member of our congregation reported that a check that was sent on their behalf was cashed/deposited but not into FUMC Allen’s account. Inclement Weather Policy

In anticipation of winter weather, FUMC Allen has established closing procedures in the event of dangerous conditions due to snow or ice. Our goal is to keep our guests and members safe and off the roads if hazardous driving becomes an issue. CDC Recommends Indoor Masking in Collin County

Last week, the CDC showed that Collin County moved into the high-risk category in the Covid-19 community risk levels. This means that our community has demonstrated an increased level of COVID-related hospitalization and/or transmission. The CDC is now recommending masking indoors to decrease the risk of transmission. When you are in our building, you are welcome to wear a mask. FUMC Allen Welcomes Adam Lubbers as New Director of Adult Discipleship

FUMC Allen is pleased to announce that we have hired Adam Lubbers as our Director of Adult Discipleship. Adam will join our staff on Sunday, July 18. He is currently on staff at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church in Farmers Branch, where he has served as youth minister and pastoral intern for the last three years.
